Buyer Agreement:

1. The puppy/dog was previously examined by a licensed veterinarian and was found to be in good health at that time and has had the immunizations enumerated in the health records provided to Buyer. Buyer, at its own expense, must have the puppy/dog examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of taking possession of puppy / dog for the Examination Period guarantee in this section to be valid. If, within the Examination Period, a licensed veterinarian finds the puppy/dog to be unhealthy or unfit for sale, the puppy/dog may be returned to Breeder for a full refund of the Purchase Price. The veterinarian must provide a written statement deeming the puppy/dog “unfit for purchase”, which must be sent to Breeder within 48 hours of the veterinary examination. The foregoing guarantee expressly excludes any health issues caused by Buyer’s ill-treatment, abuse or neglect, any health issues that result from the puppy/dog’s transportation from Breeder to Buyer and all minor illnesses and health issues, including upper respiratory 3 infections, allergic reactions, skin issues to include itching, stress colitis/diarrhea, internal or external parasites or contagious viruses (including canine parvovirus), UTIs, vaginitis or umbilical hernias.

2. The buyer agrees to provide the best possible care for their puppy throughout its life. This includes but is not limited to: inoculation and/or titers, internal parasites, and -where indicated- heartworm preventative medication. It is agreed that your Goldendoodle will be housed primarily indoors. Buyer agrees to provide basic obedience training within the first year of ownership. Buyer agrees to never place this dog in a shelter, pound, or similar facility, including a research laboratory. Buyer agrees that the usage of any injectable flea and tick preventatives voids the warranty completely. This is due to the FDA warning about these products causing neurological issues in dogs. Use of ProHeart 6 and other injectable heartworm preventatives will void this warranty completely. Care to Prevent Orthopedic Conditions. Buyer will also provide the following care: i. Proper quality nutrition to support ideal growth and maintain optimum body condition. It is also agreed that you will maintain the dog at a healthy weight; ii. Proper daily exercise to maintain the puppy/dog in good condition, but no forced exercise (such as jogging) until the puppy/dog is full-grown or the activity is approved by a licensed veterinarian; and iii. Avoidance of stress injuries, such as not allowing the puppy/dog to jump from or over heights taller than itself at the shoulder until the puppy/dog is full-grown or the activity is approved by a licensed veterinarian.

3. This dog must be spayed/neutered before 24 months of age (and NOT before the age of 12 months) failure to have this done will void the health warranty. Hormone sparing spay/neuter procedures are preferred and recommended for the long-term health and well-being of this dog/puppy. Proof of spay/neuter must be provided to Bishop Family Doodles within 30 days of the procedure being completed to maintain your warranty. Failure to have this dog spayed or neutered prior to 24 months of age will require the purchaser to pay the seller five times the purchase price. Proof of spaying/neutering by 24 months of age must accompany any request for warranty reimbursement or replacement. This puppy is being sold as a family pet and does not convey breeding rights. If this puppy is bred, the purchaser agrees to pay the seller ten times the purchase price of this puppy for every litter produced. All legal fees to enforce this contract will be the responsibility of the buyer.

4. Sale Prohibition. Buyer is not acting as an agent in the purchase of the puppy/dog. Buyer agrees neither the puppy/dog, nor any offspring of the puppy/dog, shall be used for purposes of vivisection or research. Buyer also agrees neither the puppy/dog, nor any progeny of the puppy/dog, shall be sold by or through any commercial broker or wholesale establishment, any chain store, catalog sales house or pet store.

5. Restrictions on Transfer. If, at any time, Buyer is unable to keep or care for the puppy/dog (including upon Buyer’s death or incapacity), at Breeder’s sole election, the puppy shall be (a) returned to Breeder together with duly executed documentation transferring Buyer’s ownership interest in the puppy/dog to Breeder or (b) rehomed by Buyer with Breeder’s prior written approval, in each case without any refunds or payments due to Buyer. If, following receipt, Breeder decides to rehome the puppy/dog, Breeder may elect to refund Buyer a portion of the original Purchase Price after deducting applicable maintenance, training, veterinary and other costs. Such refund amount, if given, shall be determined by Breeder in its sole discretion. Buyer acknowledges that the refund amount may be significantly less than the puppy/dog’s original Purchase Price depending upon the age, training, and condition of the puppy/dog.

NOTE: It is highly recommended that the puppy continues to be fed PawTree kibble as its primary source of nutrition AND PawTree 10-in-1 Multivitamins as a daily routine. A high-quality food is considered critical to the overall health of this puppy, and the 10-in-1 Multivitamins will provide proactive preventative care. NuVet Plus Supplements is also highly recommended for the first 4-6 months and can be used in place of the multivitamins until the puppy reaches 12 weeks of age. (More in Contracts/Legalities)

Seller Agreement:

1. The seller guarantees that the puppy is in good health (minus potential intestinal parasites) and has received the following:

  • Age-appropriate immunizations, Deworming & Health certificate or letter (available at the time the Buyer takes possession).

2. Seller guarantees all possible steps have been taken with the sire / dam selection and breeding to prevent hereditary issues.

3. The Seller provides warranty against debilitating congenital defects for a period of two (2) years after the date of sale.

4. Debilitating congenital defects are defined as those present since birth that are either life threatening or would prevent the puppy from fulfilling the intended purpose for which it was purchased. Any suspected debilitating congenital defect must be confirmed by a licensed veterinarian (including necropsy if the dog dies).

5. Breeder is the lawful owner of the puppy/dog and has the right to transfer ownership of the puppy/dog to Buyer. Ownership of the puppy/dog will be transferred to Buyer upon Buyer’s payment of the full Purchase Price but not prior to 8 weeks old.

Contracts / Legalities:

1. Buyer must supply any requested veterinary records related to the dog's condition to the seller within seven days of diagnosis.

2. Seller has the right to require a second opinion from a veterinarian and/or veterinary specialist of the Seller's choice at the Seller's expense.

3. If necropsy is performed and results in undetermined or inconclusive diagnosis, warranty is void.

4. If a congenital defect is identified within the warranty period, the Buyer has the option to obtain a replacement puppy from the Seller of equal or lesser value from the next available litter.

5. Original puppy need not be returned, provided there is proper documentation of congenital issue.

6. Breeder determines which puppy (of equal or lesser value) will be used as a replacement and the wait may be as long as 6-18 months.

7. Color or gender of replacement is not guaranteed, delivery fees will not be refunded, and any costs associated with the delivery of replacement puppy are to be covered by Buyer.

8. If the puppy is euthanized or in any way disposed of, without a second opinion from the seller's veterinarian, the buyer waives all rights to a replacement puppy.

9. NOT COVERED - Internal or external parasites, hernia, undescended testicles, under or overbite, injury, allergies, heat exhaustion, or hypoglycemia. These are common ailments in young puppies with immature immune systems. We do NOT cover luxating patellas. We do NOT cover collapsing trachea. Luxating patellas can be caused by injury and overworking the joint in the first year of life. Collapsing trachea is not covered because it can be caused by injury and the use of a collar. The Buyer waives any and all liability in relation to these items listed in Section 9 Under no circumstance will the Buyer be refunded any money for any of these conditions. Coccidia, Giardia, hookworm, whipworm, or any type of parasite is NOT COVERED. We do not cover Mites or external parasites. The Buyer understands and agrees to the NOT Covered agreement.

This health agreement in its entirety is being agreed to by both the buyer and the seller (Bishop Family Doodles) at the time of purchase unless otherwise stated in a separate signed contract by both parties.
